Green Lantern Hal Jordan

Green Lantern 2814.1 - Hal Jordan.

Did this one in Daz Studio and Blender with some Photoshop post-work. Rendered over at RenderStreet.

2400px x 1920px at 5,000 samples cost me about $3.46 (US). I went beastmode on the samples because the SSS in the skin shader and some of the glossy material I decided to use was causing serious fireflies. Tried every other trick in the book but in the end I opted to brute force it.

I went back and forth with making the chest emblem glow too like it does sometimes in the comics these days. I ultimately decided it was too much with the ring already glowing though. Maybe in another image...

We didn't really get a good look at this ring. It was actually kind of a pain to make.

This was how it looked in Daz Studio. Notice the hair is a bit wider here. I had to fix that in Blender. There weren't enough options to fix it in Daz.

My first test render. Notice the hair isn't fixed here, yet.

I thought I would try a different hair prop here, but I didn't like it so I switched back.

This was the final render with no Photoshop work.
