Havok

You know, I never quite liked Alex Summers when I was younger. I loved the Neal Adams costume, but Alex and Lorna always seemed kind of like punks for sitting it out to lead a quiet life while the X-Men were out there fighting the good fight. As I got older I came to understand that a little better.

One thing that always struck me, was learning from the first edition of the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, that Havok's power was actually HEAT. He just kicks out such incredible heat that things shatter from the sudden jump in temperature. It's always just portrayed in the comics as if it's force. His brother Cyclops' power is actually force, and not heat.

It made sense then why him and Iceman never got along...he was a heat mutant.

I made this one in Daz Studio and Blender.

Alex Summers never wants to be the leader, yet leadership is thrust upon him over and over. From X-Factor, to X-Men, to Avengers, Alex has done it all, but still somehow never finds his place.

Just to have a little fun, I made this animation in Blender, then turned it into an animated gif in Photoshop.

This was a very basic wireframe render without any glare effects on the rings.

A wireframe render out of Blender using the Wireframe modifier. I don't really care for this method though.
